About me:

Nice to meet you! My name is Louella Hendriksen. Let's get to know each other.

I live with my lovely partner and mischievous cat in Maastricht, The Netherlands. In the light of day I am a tour guide in the local cave system. By night I am a virtual menace and digital artist. I've always had a love for digital media in the form of games, films or even funky software/websites. My father introduced me to the 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider' series when I was 5 years old. Back then I could only smash the keyboard. Now that I have the motor skills I enjoy playing the classics once again. As an artist my goal is to contribute to the world that shaped me.

My sketchbook has been my constant companion. I carry it everywhere, sketching my surroundings and brainstorming ideas for my next project. I'm not exclusively creative through my art. I'm a big lover of a technical challenge — from game dev experiments to coding my own site from scratch (Yes, this one!). It sure helps that I have 'a touch of the tism'. Once something catches my interest, I go all the way.

Another fun fact

Documentation is a hobby to me. No, really. My favourite kind of book is an instruction-manual. Whenever I take on a new interest I start writing my own manuals that I can come back to whenever needed. Over time, that habit has grown into thousands of pages of notes across software, art, and niche technical topics.

I’ve discovered that my quirks — my love of documentation, systems, and periods of hyper-focus — are actually my greatest strengths as an artist. I want to use that curiosity and structure to support teams, keep knowledge accessible, and build amazing things together.

Diva has a painful moment of confusion

Miss Diva finds out that her vision does not adapt to night vision as fast as she hoped. As I get ready to go to bed Diva starts sprinting down the stairs just as I hit the light switch. One rough tumble and a screeching 'Miaaaaoooooo' later, she comes up the stairs looking disheveled but fine. Lesson learned.
